I’m a professional photographer based in Cork, Ireland.
I come from a press photography background, but in recent years I have concentrated more on commercial photography including public relations shoots for press release. I still shoot some editorial photography, mostly features and business-related images and I now also make a lot of food images for both editorial and commercial use.
When I have some free time I work on a series of personal documentary projects entitled Day In The Life Of. The idea behind these is that most of the work I’m commissioned to do is quite formal, staged, or set-up, and nearly always using some form of lighting. The DITLO projects are intended to be informal, non-posed and some will be in black & white. These will vary from documenting one person, to a business, to an event. They will be shot using available light if at all possible, even if this results in some grain, noise, or blur.
